This workshop is designed to explore practical and ethical issues arising from Hear the Child reports through a series of Vignettes.
Vignette 1 – we will meet “Olivia” and consider the pros and cons of a Hear the Child (HTC) report; discuss the differences between a HTC report and a s.211 report. We will consider ethical issues involved in interviewing children.
Vignettes 2, 3, and 4 – will introduce the issues of influence, alignment, coaching, and alienation. The vignettes will provide three scenarios. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the concepts of influence, alignment, coaching, and alienation. Discussion on ethical issues involved with interviewing children will continue.
